Our community has known for a long time that Laori Juniper No 1 is incredibly delicious. We have now been able to convince a top-class jury with our product. This has awarded Laori Juniper No 1 as Best Product 2020. The award is accompanied by a listing with REWE Nord and a partnership with Foodist.

We say: the future is alcohol-free and toast to that with our new winter drinks.

How was Laori Juniper No 1 convincing?

The jury recognized Laori Juniper No 1 as an innovative alternative to alcoholic spirits. With Laori, a drink was created that creates an equivalent taste experience to an alcoholic counterpart. Here Laori Juniper No 1 was able to impress with its taste across the board. According to the jury, a Gin & Tonic mit Laori No 1 can hardly be distinguished from an “original”. The easy handling was also convincing, as Laori can be used 1:1 like an alcoholic gin. From Gin & Tonic to Laori Mule - non-alcoholic drinks get a new, unprecedented variety with Laori No 1.

The award for Best Product of the Year 2020 confirmed our vision: We don't need alcohol if the alternatives are good enough.

Who will choose the best product of the year?

The award honors innovative food and beverage startups that create novel products and thus reshape the future of nutrition. In addition to Laori Juniper No 1, the finalists included , among others. Forest Gum and Tada Ramen. Forest Gum is already known from the lion's den with its sustainable chewing gum. Tada Ramen impressed with its delicious ramen soups.

As part of the Food Innovation Camp, the teams pitched their way into the final and Laori Juniper No 1 was completely convincing. A top-class jury including Christian Rach (TV chef & cookbook author), Fabio Ziemßen (Founder & Director Food Innovation NXFood), Jochen Vogel (Chairman of the REWE Nord Management Board) and Verena Puls (Head of Marketing at Foodist GmbH) awarded the Best Product 2020 .
