Sour, Fizz & Collins - What is what?

Maybe you were like us: you read through the delicious recipes for Laori Sours, Laori Fizz and Laori Collins and asked yourself... what exactly are the differences between them? the drinks? Isn't it all the same? Or do I have to pay attention to certain things in order to mix the right variant?

We will now explain to you the similarities and differences between the popular and easy-to-mix drinks. This means you can shine with your bartending knowledge at the next party and serve your guests tasty, non-alcoholic drinks.

THE COMMON FACILITIES OF DRINKS

First of all, it can be said that a Sour is the basis for three drinks: the Sour, the Fizz and the Tom Collins. With the non-alcoholic alternative to gin, the Laori Juniper No 1, you can quickly turn it into a delicious non-alcoholic drink. This means that 6 cl Laori Juniper No 1, 3 cl lemon juice and 2 cl sugar syrup are used for all drinks. You also need ice cubes for all three variants.

That would be all the similarities!

HOW ARE THEY DIFFERENT?

Now let's get to the more exciting part: the differences! We have already mentioned that the Sour is the base for all three drinks. While the Sour uses egg whites for the creaminess, this is left out in the Fizz and Collins! Both a Fizz and a Collins are shaked with ice cubes.

A Fizz is then strained into a tumbler glass filled with ice cubes and fizzed with a little soda water.

A Collins is, as already mentioned, shaken with ice, then strained into a long drink glass filled with ice cubes. Afterwards, a drink is extended with a lot of soda water, by filling up the entire glass.

The Fizz is a lightly sprayed Sour and therefore a short drink filled with a little water. The Collins is considered a long drink.

No matter what, we at Laori find all drink variants delicious and can't decide on a favorite!
