INVENTED IN A BAR
I stopped drinking alcohol 5 years ago because I was becoming less and less able to tolerate it. Suddenly I no longer had good drinks when going out and at parties. The alternatives were too sweet and boring for me with sodas, non-alcoholic juice cocktails and water. “I just want a gin & tonic without alcohol,” I exclaimed. The idea stuck with me and we developed the delicious Laori drinks.

Laori Spice No 2 contains residual alcohol of less than 0.2 percent by volume. Since Laori is only mixed and drunk in one drink, the alcohol content is significantly reduced. A Dark & Stormy with Laori Spice No 2 only contains 0.04 percent alcohol by volume. By the way, this is less than can be contained in a glass of apple juice. Up to 0.38 percent per liter is permitted here. In grape juice even up to 1.2%. By the way, 0.0% products can contain up to 0.03% alcohol. You can find out more in our blog post.
With Laori Spice we have recreated the taste of a spiced rum. It tastes great of vanilla, caramel, roasted nuts and oak. Fresh notes of pineapple and orange balance the taste.
We often hear: “But I don’t like rum”. We have found that we don't like the pungent smell and taste of rum. That's why we left it out and only used spices such as vanilla, oak wood and roasted nuts, which give rum the delicious taste.
